Is Therapy Right for Me?
You don't like where you are right now, you've tried some stuff, but it hasn't really changed as much as you thought or hoped it would? Perhaps you're stuck? Then it's important to find the right therapy and therapist that's a good fit for you since what you are experiencing is not unique, although you are unique. Therapy does not have to be a two year endeavor! In fact, I'm a fan of short term therapy to address your immediate concern. I use evidenced-based therapeutic approaches such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Internal Family Systems, Emotional Freedom Techniques, and Solution Focused.
If you’re asking “WHY am I…” then I will help you find those answers. If what you’re seeking is HOW to change or feel better with or without the history tour, we can do that too. What I find is let people talk confidentially with a compassionate, nonjudgmental person and they often find their insights without being coached how to think or feel.
